This global health organization has long been known for providing high quality, high impact volunteer medical services, crisis response, and critical interventions.

Last year, Medical Teams International made strategic use of nearly 3000 volunteers to provide desperately needed medical care to nearly three million people spread across 27 countries. Importantly, this award-winning organization sees disaster response as a first step, to be followed and built upon by carefully designed rehabilitation and development efforts. MTI also distributes medical equipment and supplies to and through hundreds of partner organizations all over the world; in addition, MTI teams bring community health training and development aimed at long-term, sustainable improvement in basic health among the world’s poorest. These community health programs are at the heart of MTI’s well-deserved reputation for transformative work.
To support this work, MTI provides well-structured, intentional short-term volunteer opportunities for medical professionals and servant hearts that are designed with both feasibility and impact in mind.
